Trauma-informed yoga for high-functioning anxiety and burnout

Emma Gwillim

With an intention to ‘befriend’ the nervous system and to help build a sense of safety in the body, trauma-informed yoga is a slow and gentle approach that:
Practises arriving in the here and now, the present moment
Develops an understanding of the nervous system and how it’s working for you (even when the opposite feels true)
Develops an awareness of your individual responses and survival strategies
Explores practices to regulate your nervous system and develop resilience
